Chef

Istanbul Chargrill & Kebab Palace Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef to join our team on a full-time basis at our North Lakes, QLD location.

• Assist in planning menus and determining food quantities, portion sizes and costs
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, or based on personal judgement and experience
• Monitor food quality, presentation and consistency to ensure high standards are maintained
• Manage, supervise and train Cooks and Kitchenhands in food preparation techniques, cooking methods and food safety practices
• Order and maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring stock meets daily production and service needs
• Collaborate with management to develop new dishes, set menus and improve existing recipes
• Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient food service
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations within the kitchen
• Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills, chargrills and other cooking equipment as required
• Maintain a clean, organised and compliant kitchen environment at all times
• plan and organise the preparation and cooking of food

• Certificate IV in Kitchen management or other relevant qualification.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Demonstrated experience in menu planning, food costing and kitchen management
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and WHS standards
• Proven ability to lead, train and supervise kitchen staff
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
