Chef

Durgamaa Pty Ltd is seeking a Chef for a position in Williams Landing. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning menus, preparing and cooking dishes, maintaining food quality, and ensuring hygiene and food safety requirements are followed.

Requirements

• Certificate III, Certificate IV, and Diploma
• At least 1 year of experience as a Chef in Australia

Duties

• Planning menus, calculating food and labour costs, and arranging the purchase of food supplies.
• Checking the quality of dishes throughout preparation, cooking and presentation.
• Discussing food preparation matters with managers, dietitians, kitchen staff and service staff.
• Demonstrating cooking techniques and providing guidance on food preparation procedures.
• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to menu standards.
• Explaining and maintaining hygiene, food safety and cleanliness requirements.
• Assisting with the selection, training and supervision of kitchen staff when required.
• Freezing, storing and preserving food items in accordance with food safety standards.

•  Annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000
